We want our patients to set a goal to walk, run, or walk/run a 5K (3.1mile) road race. Setting goals will help you in your journey to achieving your personal health and fitness goal. Setting a goal and achieving it is a great way to boost your confidence. Luckily My Bariatric Solutions patients' complete a post-op walking program which prepares them for their own personal exercise routine. When you commit yourself to a 5K (3.1 miles) race it will add a new purpose and accountability to your exercise program. There are many training programs that can be followed to help you reach your goal of completing a 5K (3.1mile) race.

A lot of our patients know each other because they are relatives or from work or church. You can find yourself a training and race partner from these communities. Another great location to look for a training and race partner is on the My Bariatric Solution Facebook page. It will be great support on race day if we had a large number of My Bariatric Solutions patients in the same race. The following dates have multiple races in multiple locations.
April 6th
Baylor 5K for Special Olympics-Keller, TX
April 13th
Autism 5K-Whichita Falls, TX
Let's Get Physical 5K- Belton, TX (Killeen, Waco)
